Air Suspension Refresh – Evo X

Last night we finished a air suspension refresh for this customer’s previous air ride install. Although we did not do the initial install, we fixed many problems with the old install. We resealed and trimmed all the leaky air lines and fixtures. Then we cleaned up the routing. We also made a custom base for the components to mount to. We finished that off with some fresh carpet. Previously they were screwed directly to the vehicle’s spare tire well causing an excessive amount of vibration and noise. We also stripped the spray painted tank to bare metal, prepped and powder coated it in house with Super Durable Wet White powder. To finish it off we rotated the compressors so they would not come in contact with the false floor that was previously made. Over all the noise reduction was at a minimum 20db less. We believe it turned out looking much cleaner, safer and functional than it was before.

Powder Coating S550 Mercedes-Benz Wheel Project

The process for the S550 Mercedes Benz wheel project started with freshly chemically stripped wheels, cleaned and prepped. two coats were applied (not in video) to hide thin spots and to ensure a uniform finish. This powder has a 90% gloss and looks wet all the time. It’s very easy to clean due to the glossy nature of the powder. Soap and water clean the brake dust off with ease. We also coated the calipers black, installed AMG decals on the calipers and logos, Mercedes logos on the caps and finished it off by replacing the brake pads and rotors. with Akebono zero dust pads and Zimmerman rotors.

Fuel Injector Cleaning & Testing

Meister Werks now offers fuel injector cleaning and testing with our new Launch CNC-602a injector tester. This machine can test any range of RPM, leak test, spray pattern and many more. It can also do ultrasonic cleaning and back flush the injector to get 100% of all contaminants out of the injector.

How it works:

We install the injectors into the machine and do an auto test. This tests spray pattern, idle speed spray at 650 RPM, 4500 rpm and 6000 RPM. Furthermore, this test alone, we can determine wether or not the injector is good. If those test pass, we do a leak test which pressurizes the injector while it is closed. You can visually see if the injector is leaking.

If any of the tests fail, we will ultrasonically clean and back flush the injectors. After cleaning we will re test, after which, a full detailed report is presented to the end user prior to the test and cleaning is completion.

On this customers job, the intake runner flaps is faulty. This is the cause of the excessive carbon build up. The faulty runner flap failure is directly related to the bad injectors being driven on for 30,000+ miles w/o repair. Also excess carbon build up issues on Cylinder No.4, No.5 & No.6 was caused directly from faulty injectors. If problem is addressed sooner (at 19,000 miles), these issues would be present today. Current milage is 64,902 miles.

Headlight Refurbishing • Mercedes E320 CDI – W211

Last week we performed a headlight refurbishing on this Mercedes E320 CDI W211. The headlights were in very poor shape, heavily oxidized, yellowed and the light distribution was almost not existent. We are able to bring our customer’s headlights back to almost brand new using our proprietary methods. This will make them look like brand new and will not fade or oxidize for another 20-30 years.

The reason headlights fade is the plastic or acrylic breaks down over time. The hardeners in the plastic will evaporate with heat and UV. This happens in hotter and sunnier climates faster than it does up here in the Seattle area. Road debris will also cause the headlights to become pitted and foggy. The only way to repair this is to replace the headlight housing itself. We can so replace the lens (if possible) or do a headlight refurbishing to the vehicle. Unfortunately this Mercedes E320 does not have the capability of replacing the lenses and housings were just too expensive for our customer.

To replace these headlight is a in depth job. The labor time to remove the bumpers and replace the lights is over double than just refinishing both headlight lenses. During this process we mask the entire front of the vehicle and cover the back half, insuring that there is no over spray on the vehicle.

Next we prep the lenses to ensure a good and permanent adhesion. We remove as many low spots on the lens that we can and any impurities prior to the headlight refurbishing.

Lastly, we spray the headlights with a two part liquid acrylic that bonds directly to the acrylic headlight lenses down to molecular structure. Having the same material on the lens allows the molecular structure to bond better than any other protective coating or buffing kit on the market. This means that it will never come off, fade or discolor for another 20-30 years. It’s also UV fast, so it will take a long time for UV to break down the lens.

Update 6.25.19:

The headlight refurbishing service we provide is meant to restore the lens output quality back to 99%. It is impossible to make them 100% perfect as we can not remove the lenses and remove blemishes that are behind the lens. We also may not be able to remove all pits in the lens as sanding them down too much can cause the light output to distort. If you want 100% [perfect lenses, we suggest purchasing new headlight housings, in which Meister Werks also sells and provides as a installation service.

New Powder Coating Oven – Up and Running!

New Powder Coating Oven – Up and Running – write up text here about this ‘n’ stuff. 8ft long x 6ft wide x 6ft tall. Our new oven is 8ft x 6ft x 6ft and has 600,000 BTU. This means it can get up to temp from ambient temperature to 400º in around 10 to 12 minutes.

We are also able to do small powder coating production runs for companies that do manufacturing or fabricating. This red prototype is a production run we may start doing here in the new future. It’s a motorcycle lift for your trailer hitch. Other production parts we coat are performance drift car parts, Lotus seat brackets to fix in a Mazda Miata / MX-5 and custom / OEM motorcycle parts from your local Harley Davidson dealership.

Some of the other things we powder coat are wheels. In fact we do a lot of wheels. Local Renton dealerships bring us there brand new cars to customize them before the customers takes ownership of them. We also can repair wheels and refurbish or restore wheels with our wheel lathe. Lastly we can also do fill,  re-drill and press in inserts for wheels to make different bolt pattern. We can also bore out center bores to fit your hubs.

Pillow ball top mounts

Monotube Design

The Ksport system uses a monotube design in which the oil and gas are separated within the cylinder.
