2019 GT3 RS Supercar Service

Starting the GT3 RS Supercar oil draining procedure.

Starting the GT3 RS oil draining procedure.

Today we performed an oil change service on a 2019 GT3 RS supercar. Our customer requested the type of oil we use, which is always in stock for these applications. The oil for this application is Liqui Moly Synthoil 0w40. This oil is used in many high-performance supercars such as 911 Turbos, GT2 and GT3 vehicles.

While we waited for the oil to drain for 20-30 minutes, we inspected for any issues or notable items. We did notice that the tires are getting low on tread and will need to be replaced in the not so near future. Fortunately, this is all we could find and do not see anything to be concerned.

Once we fully drained the oil, we replaced the sump drain plug seal and replaced the factory oil reservoir with an LN Engineering magnetic drain plug for good measure. We always have these in stock. The drain plug will catch any metallic particulates that the filter will not catch. This will keep the oil-free from harmful debris.

After each drain plug was properly torqued and the oil was filled, we topped off all the fluids. We also performed a quick detail on the Porsche to maintain it’s natural beauty.

Porsche 911 / 996 Headlight Refurbishing

Our customer brought in his set of Porsche 911 / 996 Turbo for headlight refurbishing. The lens were oxidized and dull when they arrived. This is cause from the sun light’s UV breaking down the surface of the lens. We wet sand all the contaminants out, clean and spray with our special clearcoat. This clearcoat is the same acrylic makeup as the lens which bonds with it down to the molecular structure. Not only that, but the clear coat adds a layer of protection against fading or oxidation. The clear coat also dries very glossy and there is no need for wet sanding or buffing after the clear coat dries. However, we can do this and is an additional option if you upon request.

Note: Some imperfections are within the inside of the lens area and are unable to be removed. New housing would be an alternative to getting brand new headlights.

Porsche 911 Carrera 4S Cabriolet – Engine RebuildPorsche 911 Carrera 4S 996

Last week at Meister Werks European & Import in Renton, WA, next to The Renton Landing, we completed a engine rebuild on this Porsche 911 / 996 Carrera 4S. We pulled the engine out and found that bank 1 (cylinder 1, 2 & 4) have very low compression on 2 & 3, zero compression on cylinder 1. We knew right away the engine needed a rebuild. The block was stripped all the way down to the block and rebuilt with all new components. This also included new IMS bearings.

Next we had the heads remachined and all new valves installed. That followed by new head gaskets, timing chains and guides. New water pump and other key components were also replaced.

After the entire Porsche engine was finished we restored this engine back to it’s 2004 glory. This AWD Porsche flat 6. 3.6L boxer engine puts out 315 hp and 273 ft lbs tq.

We will also be breaking in the engine for the customer, which takes about 1000 miles. No red line and no excessive idling will be allowed until after the break in period is over. After that period, we will need to drain the break in oil / filter and replace it with fresh oil. After the break in period, the car can be driven normally or taken to the track for some hot laps.
