Don’t Defer Your Brake Service and Maintenance
A customer of ours came in a few weeks ago for some service and maintenance and also complained of a brake noise. He had deferred his service and maintenance brake fluid flush several times over the years. These photos are the result of it. Since the system was not maintained, it rusted the brake caliper pistons & brake lines. Due to the rarity of the vehicle, our only option was to rebuild the brake calipers and perform a flush, multiple times, to get the corrosion out of the system.
At the same time, we also performed other deferred service and maintenance. Some items included an axle replacement, upper / lower ball joints, tie rods, wheel bearings, rear transmission mount, the entire exhaust system, valve cover gasket and a four-wheel alignment.
We advocate on your behalf to perform your maintenance done when it’s due. By doing your service when it’s due, It will prevent further damage to other components. Furthermore, this will cost you much less in the long run. The safety systems in your vehicle are very important to service, which will also keep you safe and avoid any potential breakdowns.

Today we performed a oil change service and alignment on a 2002 BMW E46 M3 with a Dinan sport package.
The customer requested a specific oil. In this case, it was Redline 10w60 race oil. While performing the service we also completed our 30pt courtesy inspection. We found a few items that need addressing. Oil leaks on and around the Votex V-2 super charger and power steering reservoir leaks.
Luckily we caught these issues and will be able to schedule another appointment to get these items repaired.
This Dinan S3R E46 M3 boasts an impressive 462 Horsepower @ 8000 rpm & 328 lb-ft Torque @ 6000 rpm. This has a software upgrade, FMIC, Votex V-2 Supercharger, upgraded throttle bodies, performance camshafts, free flow exhaust, limited slip differential, tie bars and sway bars. It also has a Koni suspension system that will hug the curves and keep all this raw horse power on the road.

Tracy’s Project VW New Beetle Coast – Part 1

Our long time customer Tracy brought her 2018 VW New Beetle into the shop a few weeks after she purchased it from Auburn VW. Our good friends at Auburn VW had recommended Meister Werks to her after she ask where to take it for some modifications.
Tracy had a laundry list of items she wanted for her VW New Beetle when she came in for her consultation. Some of the items were winter wheels for her snow tires, lowering the vehicle, summer wheels / tires and some performance mods, just to name a few.
Starting the Project

The first item she opted for was the lowering the car. She wanted simple lowering springs. We advised her that running OEM shocks and struts with lowering spring would eventually damage the shocks and struts. Since those parts are not meant for lowing spring, they wouldn’t last that long and would decrease the performance over time.
We suggest the K-Sport adjustable coilovers which will allow her to adjust the VW New Beetle to any height she will like. This kit would also increase performance without sacrificing the quality of the ride. They are also adjustable dampening, which will allow her to change the suspension to softer or stiffer ride. The cost difference was not much more and she opted to go that route. We also found her some inexpensive satin black Platinum 432SB Elite wheels. We mounted and balanced the tires for her and installed them after the suspension was installed.

When spring rolled around, she started looking for her summer wheels and tires. We layed out all the catalogues and option for her. She wanted something unique that not a lot of people have. As soon as she saw the Radi8 R8S5 wheels, she knew that is what she wanted. The look and feel of Tracy’s beetle is one of a kind.

Future Plans
Some future plans are to install a 3″ down pipe, Stage 2 Unitronic performance tune, DSG Transmission tune and cold air intake. These modification will give this VW New Beetle around 300hp. So if you see her at a stop light, don’t underestimate what this Beetle will be able to do.

Mercedes AMG Powder Coated Wheels
Last week we did some Mercedes AMG Powder Coated Wheels for a customer. Our customer has many issues with the painted wheels on his Mercedes-Benz CLS500. The previous owner painted them and the paint was chipping and flaking off. This was causing the wheels to loose air pressure. He was constantly having to fill the tires with air. After he had had enough of that, he opted for replacing everything.
In the beginning, our customer came to us and ask what his options were. We offered him a many options per his requirement and color requests. This included these Mercedes CLS55 AMG wheels, however they only came in silver. This was not a problem for Meister Werks. Since we refinis and powder coat wheels in house, we also gave him the option to have them powder coated black.
After receiving the new wheels, we chemical strip, out gassed, media blasted, applied a pretreatment to promote adhesion and anti-corrision under the powder coat. Then we applied two coats of super durable wet black powder. This is a very high quality power will last much longer than standard powders. There are many color options for these Mercedes AMG Powder Coated Wheels and finishes as well.

Tesla Upgrades • Refinished & Powder Coated Wheels & Calipers
Last week we performed some Tesla Upgrades for a customer. We refinished and powder coated these Tesla wheels in the factory gun metal finish. Many people like the higher quality look of this color. Tesla owner also can also refinish their calipers in red, which is a $3100 option at the dealer. Dealership options for wheels are $1500. Our price is about half the cost of the dealer.
When we refinish brake calipers or wheels, we strip them down to bare metal and start from scratch. For calipers, we use the highest quality epoxy primers, ceramic paint and clear coat to maintain the highest quality look and durability. This paint is good up to 900º F. When powder coating, we chemical strip, out gas, media blast and apply a pretreatment to promote adhesion and anti-corrision under the coating. Then we finish it with high quality power coating powder. There are many options for colors and finishes as well.

2019 GT3 RS Supercar Service
Starting the GT3 RS oil draining procedure.
Today we performed an oil change service on a 2019 GT3 RS supercar. Our customer requested the type of oil we use, which is always in stock for these applications. The oil for this application is Liqui Moly Synthoil 0w40. This oil is used in many high-performance supercars such as 911 Turbos, GT2 and GT3 vehicles.
While we waited for the oil to drain for 20-30 minutes, we inspected for any issues or notable items. We did notice that the tires are getting low on tread and will need to be replaced in the not so near future. Fortunately, this is all we could find and do not see anything to be concerned.

Once we fully drained the oil, we replaced the sump drain plug seal and replaced the factory oil reservoir with an LN Engineering magnetic drain plug for good measure. We always have these in stock. The drain plug will catch any metallic particulates that the filter will not catch. This will keep the oil-free from harmful debris.
After each drain plug was properly torqued and the oil was filled, we topped off all the fluids. We also performed a quick detail on the Porsche to maintain it’s natural beauty.
